Seeking a New Executive Director

Canadians for Tax Fairness is seeking an Executive Director who will be responsible for management of the organization and implementation of the campaign plan.

The Executive Director also represents the organization to government and media and to other social sector organizations. The Executive Director is responsible for hiring and supervising other staff.

In collaboration with the Board Chair, the Executive Director is responsible for organizing board, various committees and the annual general meeting of the organization.

In collaboration with the Treasurer, the Executive Director is responsible for fundraising, managing the finances and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. The Executive Director is also responsible to ensure that all the legal requirements matters of a non-profit corporation are met.

The Executive Director is expected to monitor political and economic developments in the field of tax justice and advise the board on policy and campaign strategy. The Executive Director will also undertake outreach initiatives to develop and maintain relationships with relevant organizations and engage individual supporters in actions supporting the goals of the organization.

The Executive Director will also represent the organization at international meetings and participate in the campaigns of the Global Alliance for Tax Justice.

Compensation: This is a full-time position with benefits (Extended health plan and 4% of salary contribution to RRSP.) Salary is negotiable.

Location: Ottawa

Terms: There will be a three-month probationary period.
