When provincial budgets lose billions because the feds don't have a grip on the growing use of tax havens - that's no small matter.
But as far as C4TF can tell, the November 2012 Premiers Meeting in Halifax was the first time the phrase "tax havens" came up in conversation at that regular gathering.
C4TF Executive Director Dennis Howlett sent a letter to premiers ahead of the meeting pointing out the impact of this fiscal mismanagement. And at the post-meeting press conference, Halifax Chronicle Herald Business reporter Brett Bundale put the questions to Premier Darrell Dexter.
The meeting may be over, but there is more work to do. In the meantime - how about sending one of our Canadian Tax Dollar postcards to Jim Flaherty or Revenue Minister Gail Shea asking them to pick up the pace on this issue.
